Hi Dave,

Open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the Processes tab. Locate the following processes:

exe81.exe
gxusimi.exe
svchostt.exe
DO NOT END svchost.exe

Highlight each one and hit End Process.

Run HijackThis and put a check next to the following lines:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = about:blank
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [win32 update service] svchostt.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SWOD] C:\WINDOWS\exe81.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [elos] C:\WINDOWS\exe81.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ukcoeuz] C:\WINDOWS\System32\gxusimi.exe r
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [win32 update service] svchostt.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [win32 update service] svchostt.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [win32 update service] svchostt.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [win32 update service] svchostt.exe
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.media-motor.net
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.popuppers.com

Make sure no programs or windows are open and click Fix checked.

Now using Windows Explorer delete the following files (if present):

C:\WINDOWS\exe81.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\gxusimi.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchostt.exe DO NOT DELETE C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe

Now go here and hit Browse and locate this file:

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\S-1-5-18\2cf41f1db14bc8f414e16e1555b77108\update\update.exe

Hit Submit and wait for the results. When it's done scanning save the results to a Notepad file.

Now reboot and post a new HijackThis log along with the results from that scan. Make sure you post all of the HijackThis log this time.
