With your help I think we are free of active malware issues. We would like some thoughts, though, about vulnerabilities of any of our programs as well as your thoughts on further protection, i.e.: Since we use Firefox do we risk anything by keeping/using IE? What about Wildtagent and others we do not necessarily need? Should we keep and use TrojanHunter or Spybot? Any other suggestions?
Well as far as program vulnerabilities go... all one can do is try to keep abreast of updates for them to minimize the chance of any malware taking advantage of the vulnerabilities. That and stay away from any sites/links you think may be bad.
As for IE/Firefox... you don't need to turf IE totally. Just keep using Firefox if that is what your prefer. I use it myself and rarely use IE for anything.
I'm not a big fan of WildTangent... though they seemed to have cleaned up their act/software... the company used to be pretty shady. nothing from them goes anywhere near my systems.
You can keep using both Spybot and TrojanHunter. The programs serve two different purposes and will find things the other might not. There is not one program out there can detect and remove it all. Therefore its best to layer your defenses against malware thus minimizing the chance of infection.
