Please Help No Idea

Hello. I have a rather large problem. I have little to no computer knowledge. But I do know that I hardly have enough time to type this. Recently, maybe a week or two ago I downloaded some music from LimeWire. As you probably have geussed my computer was infected with god knows what (Malware and friends). Now I am stuck with no desktop or anything really the only chance I have of opening a single program is when my system boots up, I rush to double click IE. I would say the amount of time before the desktop and icons disappear is about 25 seconds. I have no idea what to do. I believe my copy of Norton went out of date as of the 31st of October. Also My Ctrl+ALT+DEL doesnt do anything anymore. PLEASE HELP. Im 18 and my name is Andrew. THNX

Lets try to boot into Safe Mode:

• If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
• Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
• Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
• Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
• Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
• Login on your usual account.

Please let me know if the problem with your desktop and icons also occurs there or not.
