possible keylogger

[localboy]

In posting to an article directory that may have been hacked and had mpack put onto it, I have a suspicion that I may have a keylogger. I had a warning when I tried to FTP into my site, so I did not finish the FTP, but adaware and spybot did not pick up anything huge. So here is my hijackthis logfile below. There is no evidence of a keylogger in your HJT log, so we will have to look deeper.
There are Symantec entries in your log that look like they are no longer used,
did you have Symantec antivirus before you changed to AVG ?
Do you use any other Symantec software ?

Fix With HJT
Close all other windows and then start HiJack This
Click Do A System Scan Only
When it has finished scanning put a check next to the following lines

- Close ALL open windows (especially Internet Explorer!)-
Now click Fix checked
Click yes to any prompts
Close HijackThis

Download AVG Anti-Spyware
Please download AVG Anti-Spyware. to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder.

• Install AVG Anti-Spyware by double clicking the installer.
• Follow the prompts. Make sure that Launch AVG Anti-Spyware is checked.
• On the main screen under Your Computer's security.
  
  • Click on Change state next to Resident shield. It should now change to inactive.
  • Click on Change state next to Automatic updates. It should now change to inactive.
  • Next to Last Update, click on Update now. (You will need an active internet connection to perform this)
  • Wait until you see the Update succesfull message.
• Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and uncheck Start with Windows.
• Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.

Download the Full database to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder and install it by double clicking the file. Make sure that AVG Anti-Spyware is closed before installing the update.


Run AVG Anti-Spyware
Close ALL open Windows / Programs / Folders. Please start AVG Anti-Spyware and run a full scan.

• Click on Scanner on the toolbar.
• Click on the Settings tab.
  
  • Under How to act?
    
    • Click on Recommended Action and choose Quarantine from the popup menu.
  • Under How to scan?
    
    • All checkboxes should be ticked.
  • Under Possibly unwanted software:
    
    • All checkboxes should be ticked.
  • Under Reports:
    
    • Select Do not automatically generate reports
  • Under What to scan?
    
    • Select Scan every file.
• Click on the Scan tab.
• Click on Complete System Scan to start the scan process.
• Let the program scan the machine.
• When the scan has finished, follow the instructions below.
  IMPORTANT : Don't click on the "Save Scan Report" button before you did hit the "Apply all Actions" button.
  
  • Make sure that Set all elements to: shows Quarantine, if not click on the link and choose Quarantine from the popup menu.
  • At the bottom of the window click on the Apply all Actions button.
    
• When done, click the Save Scan Report button.
  
  • Click the Save Report as button.
  • Save the report to your Desktop.
• Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.

Kaspersky Online Scanner .

Go Here http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Read the Requirements and limitations before you click Accept.
Allow the ActiveX download if necessary
Once the database has downloaded, click Next.
Click Scan Settings and change the "Scan using the following antivirus database" from standard to extended and then click OK.
Click on "My Computer" and then put the kettle on!
When the scan has completed, click Save Report As...
Enter a name for the file in the Filename: text box and then click the down arrow to the right of Save as type: and select text file (*.txt)
Click Save - by default the file will be saved to your Desktop, but you can change this if you wish.


You will not have internet access whilst you do the next part
Please copy/paste or print the following instructions.

LSPfix
Download Lspfix. Extract(unzip) it to its own folder.
Disconnect from the internet, and close all browser windows.
Double click LSPFix.exe
Click the "I know what I'm doing" button.
In the left hand pane, hilite all instances of calsp.dll (and nothing else),
Note:- calsp.dll may already be in the remove panel.
move them to the "Remove" pane and by clicking the >> button. Click Finish. Reboot to complete the process.

Important
If you can not access the internet after using LSPFix please do the following.
Click Start >> Run
Copy paste the following into the open window
netsh winsock reset
Click "OK" or press enter
