I believe I got this malware from myspace. When clicking on someone who requested to be my friend, in order to go to their profile, I was kicked off the internet to my desktop and saw this message:

Notice: if your computer has been running slower than normal, it may be infected with viruses, adware or spyware.
Malware Alarm will perform a quick and completely free scan of your system for malicious programs. Download MalwareAlarm for free,
Ok or cancel.

The next day this happened again when I tried to log into myspace.
Now my computer is running very slow and it's impossible to view any videos and I subscribe to 3 video sites! It would take 2 hrs. to download a 15 minute video where it used to take 3 or 4 minutes!

Here is my hijackthis log:

Hello meee223 and welcome to the Forums :)

I can't see anything bad in the HijackThis log.
Let's run one scanner...

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
      Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
      Scan Archives
      Scan Mail Bases

  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:
      Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.
