Wait, what?!

This doesn't apply to all versions of Windows Vista?

Okay so what do you do if you have Windows Vista Home Premium?

You still can do so... but not in the way Microsoft expects you to.

There are 2 options.

1. Upgrade to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate then downgrade it.

2. Wipe out the installation of Vista with a Linux OS, then wipe it again to install XP or other OS.

I use option 2... no money for option 1.

Never heard of DBan, is it something like Killdisk?

DBan = Darik's Boot and Nuke

http://dban.sourceforge.net/

It's a freeware tool that will write 0s to all sectors of the hard drive. It will wipe all the contents of the drive / partition that you select to wipe by re-writing 0 s, making data recovery impossible.
