I attempted to read my hijack this log and i found a virus. I did an online virus scan, now i cant tell if I am clean or not. Am i clean, is there any way to tell?

Hi zarola,

There's not much difference between the two logs you have posted so I'd like a bit more information if possible:

I attempted to read my hijack this log and i found a virus.

Please tell me what part of the HijackThis log appeared to be a virus.

I did an online virus scan, now i cant tell if I am clean or not.

Did the online scan find anything, and if it did, did it clean/delete what it found?
If it produced a report please post it for me to see.

Are you experiencing any symptoms? What reasons do you have to suspect infection?

I recommend you do the following:

Pokerstars has been reported as being malware-related so I strongly recommend you remove it if you have it installed.
To do so, open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, find PartyPoker on the list and select Remove

Then, open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to the following lines:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

If you removed Pokerstars or do not have it installed, then also check this line:

Then close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.

Then do an online scan with Kaspersky:

Open Kaspersky Online Scanner in Internet Explorer

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky,
Click Yes.

The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT and then Scan Settings
In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
- Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
- Scan Options:
Click OK
Now under select a target to scan:
The program will start to scan your system.
Once the scan is complete, click on the Save as Text button and save the file to your desktop

Once complete, please post the Kaspersky report and a new HijackThis log along with the information requested.
