Hi deds43

How Is your system running now conpaired to before you were infected, please bear in mind that you do now have
a Anti virus installed. How long did you run your system for without a Anti virus?, was this done because you found it a drain on your
system resources?, the last few scans we have run have come back clean, your HJT Log is now clean, but I am concerned about the slowness
of your system, which is a good sign you could be still infected, also I see that at some time Combofix has been run, was this to clear a old infection in the past?, also could you give a few details on your system, how much memory and size of processor.

Please post back with the answers to my questions and a new HJT Log

Hi deds43

It sounds to us that you are also have a Computer/Hardware problem, your system is now clear of Malware.
There are some very good general computer forums that would be happy to help you, explain that you had a malware
problem that has been cleaned, but still having problems with slow connection on both MS Windows computers, you may have a problem
with the set up of your network, but that is out of my range to help.

Here is a few forums

http://www.techsupportforum.com/

http://www.5starsupport.com/ipboard/index.php

http://www.techguy.org/

I do hope you get it sorted, I know how frustrating it can be, Below is a little advice on INTERNET security, but
I would wait until you get the problem sorted before you install anything else.

Now please delete F-Secure Blacklight and it's logs from your C Drive

This is a good time to clear your existing system restore points and establish a new clean restore point:

  • Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
  • Select Create a restore point, and Ok it.
  • Next, go to Start > Run and type in cleanmgr
  • Select the More options tab
  • Choose the option to clean up system restore and OK it.

This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.

  • Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:
  • From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
  • Click once on the Security tab
  • Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
  • Click once on the Custom Level button.
  • Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
  • Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
  • Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
  • Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
  • Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
  • Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
  • When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
  • If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
  • Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.

I don't see any indication of a Firewall in your HijackThis log. This may be because:

(a.) You are using Windows Firewall or a hardware Firewall.
(b.) You are using a Firewall, but it is disabled for unknown reasons

In the case you don't have a Firewall, or using the Windows Firewall or just a Hardware Fire, that do not have out going protection.
please download a free one from below, you need incoming and outgoing protection

FREE FIREWALLS

A nice firewall tutorial: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutoria ... ial60.html

Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.

Install Ad-Aware - Install and download Ad-Aware. ou should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.

A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
