Windows CD needed?

I went to install VMware not long ago, however it said to insert a Windows CD.

Do I need one?

If so, I'm out of luck!

For any VM type program - you can install the VM application itself.

But when you start to install into a VM - that then is a complete new machine, in all senses.

So for that install you need a licenced copy of which ever op system you are trying to install.
