I was finally able to get computer to run by doing a restore. Was able to run a few tests and did another log. Here it is. Thanks for your help.

Hi rut


Please download the new version of HJT, then uninstall 1.99.1 and install the new one, instructions below.


Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

Now to Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and uninstall HijackThis v1.99.1,


  • Now on your desktop Double click HJTInstall.exe to install it.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.
  • Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
  • Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.







Can you give a little more information on when your computer reboots itself, is when you
have been using it for some time, when you run a certain program or use certain hardware,
