Help with Win32.Trojan.Rx Removal

Unread postby In_the_need » June 14th, 2007, 12:23 pm

I know this has been quite a problem, and I've tried to follow up with the topics already posted on this subject, but I find it a bit difficult. My screen is that tacky red, and sometimes my icons highlight white.

I've already reached the point where I've downloaded HJTsetup.exe and have placed HiJackthis in a seperate file, in which scanner.exe.

Here's my HiJackThis log:

Hi In_the_need,

Your log does not look good at all!

Your computer is severly infected, with several VERY dangerous infections that include multiple Backdoors and possibly Rootkits. Your computer is very much comprimised at this point.

With all the highly dangerous infections present, I strongly encourage you to backup all your important data and reformat the computer as soon as possible. This is the only way we can be 100% sure that the computer will ever be safe for you to use.

You are also strongly advised to do the following immediately!:
  • Disconnect infected computer from the internet and from any networked computers until the computer can be cleaned.
  • Call all of your banks, credit card companies, financial institutions and inform them that you may be a victim of identity theft and to put a watch on your accounts or change all your account numbers.
  • From a clean computer, change *all* of your online passwords -- for ISP login, email, banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, online companies, and any online forums or groups you belong to.
Do NOT change passwords or do any transactions while using the infected computer because the attacker will get the new passwords and transaction information.
I can attempt to help you clean the computer to the best of my abilities, if you wish. However, even if we manage to get the computer clean, there is no guarantee that the computer is safe to use and therefore it would be quicker, easier and safer if the computer was reformatted.

Please read the following articles:

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask

Please let me know your decision.
