Hi breeze,

A few questions, if you would answer them please:

1) What problems are you having?

2) Do you know what this is?
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Marketing Tips Messenger] "C:\Program Files\The Internet Marketing Center\Desktop Marketer 3\Readers\264\364\Marketing Tips Messenger.exe"

3) Please do the following...
  • Go to VirusTotal
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the Search Box at the top of the page:
  • C:\Program.exe
  • Click on the Send button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.

Hi Trogan, firstly, thank you for replying to my original post.
The problems that I am having are that for long periods of time (10/15mins) and about 4/5 times a day, my laptop will hang and a reboot is necessary. Now this may/may not be a virus issue but I have run virus tools and they seem to be picking up wrong-uns on the laptop.

2) Do you know what this is?
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Marketing Tips Messenger] "C:\Program Files\The Internet Marketing Center\Desktop Marketer 3\Readers\264\364\Marketing Tips Messenger.exe"

Yes, A rather poor Marketing Tips Messenger, that I should/will delete.

[*]C:\Program.exe

The result from clicking on send is:
0 bytes size received / Se ha recibido un archivo vacio

Best Regards

Hi Breeze,

...Now this may/may not be a virus issue but I have run virus tools and they seem to be picking up wrong-uns on the laptop.

Could well be a hardware or software problem, but we'll see. Can you tell me what tools you have used and what they found exactly please?

In need the meantime, please do the following...

1. Open HijackThis
- Click the Do a system scan only button
- Check the following entries (below)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

- Close ALL open windows (especially Internet Explorer!)
- Click Fix Checked
Close HiajckThis

2. I need to see another log from HijackThis.
  • Run Hijackthis.
  • Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Next click on Open uninstall manager.
  • Press the Save list button.
  • Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
  • Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.

3. Please do an online scan with Panda ActiveScan

- Once you are on the Panda site, click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.

Post the contents of the Panda scan report, along with a new HijackThis Log and the Uninstall list
