I just read your messages, and I will make sure to disable the protection Sue.

Thanks to both of you. I will report back as soon as I'm done with the steps.

I followed all of the steps but when doing this step:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Be sure that all windows are closed. Click on START-> RUN. Copy paste the following as it is and click OK.

regsvr32.exe /U C:\WINDOWS\system32\rzched20.dll

You should get a message that it has been uninstalled succesfully.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I recieved the message "LoadLibrary ("C:\WINDOWS\system32\rzched20.dll) failed- The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."

I went ahead and followed the rest of the steps and here are the logs:

See if this will run now. If it won't run in Normal Mode, try it in Safe Mode.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Great :D

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

I ran into a problem. I double clicked on l2mfix.bat, and then I hit a key, and then just before I was about to hit 2 to run the fix, I closed the window that had the l2mfix folder. Well, that must have been a mistake, because the computer went to the blue error screen, so of course I had to reboot. Should I still do the l2mfix, or do we need to do something else since I had to reboot?

Great Job :D

Look for a folder named C:\isubmit. If found, delete it.

Log looks good :D How is it running any issues?

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Click Start> My Computer, select the Tools menu and then Folder Options, after the new window appears select the View tab…]
This time select the: Restore Defaults
Select: Apply, and click OK

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D

WOW! You guys are awesome. Thank you Sue, and thank you LDTate. Everything looks good, no more pacific poker icons either. (I don't even play poker.)

I will be sure to download those programs you mentioned. I have AVG anti-virus, is that good enough, or should I download your free anti-virus program? I also have a firewall through my comcast cable internet, so that should be ok.

Thanks again, this is a big relief.

I'm not sure if we are in the clear yet. :(

As I was downloading the protection that you recommended, and running adaware and spybot, avg anti-virus detected a trojan horse dropper agent.dd. I finished updating everything, and then I ran avg anit-virus and it detected and fixed 3 trojan horse dropper agents.

Is there anything else I need to do or should I be ok now?

Just keep your protection programs updated. Be sure to turn on your other protection programs, Microft AntiSpyware resident protection, Spysweeper and SpywareDoctor. Run these programs regularly to ensure that your computer is safe. Good luck! :D

Yea, I think we are ok. I ran avg again and everything was clear. I just panicked after seeing more virus messages after everything that we had done. It was like running a marathon and then being told that you had to run a few more miles.

Thanks Sue.
