Hello and welcome to The Malware Removal Forums.

My name is curlylad and I will be helping you to remove any infection(s) that you may have.

I have to let experts check the content of my fixes before I post them so be patient.

I will be giving you a series of instructions that need to be followed in the order in which I give them to you.

If for any reason you do not understand an instruction or are just unsure then please do not guess , simply post back with your query and we will go through it again.

Please do not start another thread or topic, I will assist you at this thread until we solve your problems.

Lastly the fix may take several attempts and my replies may take some time but I will stick with it if you do the same.

The first thing I need you to do is change a setting and re-post your HijackThis Log

To do that follow this instruction

WORDWRAP

The formatting of your post is a little erratic and difficult to read.
This is because you need to alter a setting in Notepad.

To do that follow this instruction.

  • Click Start, click All Programs
  • Click Accessories, click Notepad
  • Click Format on the menu bar and click Wordwrap so it appears unchecked or unticked.
  • Please now re-post your HijackThis Log with the new settings configured.

As soon as you re-post the log I will review it and provide your next instructions.

Ad-Aware

You mentioned that you had run Ad-Aware, the log that was produced form the scan may show if there was any infection present.

I would like you to find the text document oflast scan you performed.
To do that please follow this instruction
  • click Start,click Run
  • In the Open: dialog box type %appdata% , click OK
  • Double click the folder Lavasoft
  • Double click the Ad-Aware folder
  • You will now see a list of timed and dated logs.
  • Scroll down to find the latest one that you have (by date & time)
  • Double click it to open it, right Click and choose select all
  • Copy and then paste the contents of it here.
(Make sure that all of your Logfile has been posted, sometimes it will require two post's to get it all)

STEP 10

Report Back
  • I now need you to post the AVG Anti Spyware Report
  • The Ad-Aware scan log
  • The Uninstall List
  • The fresh HijackThis Log.

In your first post you said
Hi- I think I may be infected with a virus. I've ran Spybot and Ad-Aware numerous times (restarting after each time) and the same results keep on popping up. Please help! Thank you in advance! (^_^)

Did either of the programs that you run suggest that you have a virus ?
What are these same results that keep popping up ?
Can you be a bit more specific please.

When I have all the new information I will review it and post any further necessary steps as soon as possible.

Hi jennay

It's been over 2 weeks now since I've heard from you and I am concerned as there is still some work left to do on your system.
If you wish to continue to receive help from me then please follow the instructions in my last post to you and post the relevant logs.
If you do not wish to receive any further assistance then that is fine but please post back informing me of this and I can have the thread archived.

If I still have not heard from you within 48 hours of this notice I am afraid I will have to go ahead and archive the thread anyway.

Hope to hear from you soon.
