I am somewhat computer literate but cannot figure out how to get the Aurora virus off my computer. Can someone please walk me through the steps. It is terrible. I cannot use the internet at all...pop ups everywhere...thanks so much in advance for any help!!!

Hello sm800! I'm 'Kotaguy. Welcome to Malware Removal!

Could you please download HijackThis from here. Save it to its own folder(eg: C:\Program Files\HJT\HijackThis.exe). Run the program and click the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. Notepad will open up with the log. Copy/paste the log into a reply to this thread.

i tried to doenload it but my McAffee came up and said it had a virus called generic worm and deleted it....what should I do?

Disable Mcafee for now and redownload the program.
