I know, it's insane £1.50.
Five years ago I was happy to pay £2.00 a pint for it because it was so hard to find a pub that sold it.
But my local had it as a guest ale about 5-6 years ago ----and it's still on !!!!!!!

Yes, "Old Peculiar" was a guest ale at my local, but for some crazy reason it proved to be unpopular, so they did not try it again. It is hard to understand people some times, I mean, not liking "Old Peculiar" that is strange.
One of the local breweries around here is the West Berkshire Breweries and they make a good one called "Good Old Boy", it is not bad but can be a bit heavy at times, but because of the price of the ales I tend to go for the cheaper at £2.40 which is Boddingtons. And yes I know it is not a patch on some of the others, but it is good being able to get 2 pints for a fiver and still get some change.

Don't get around to drinking too many beers but I prefer Guinness, don't know if that falls under the same category though.

Also, Miller Genuine Draft, I'm from Milwaukee, what can you expect? :)
Miller High Life is insanely cheap here and great for parties

Gin and tonic anyone? :P

Though I prefer whiskeys...

Guiness is good.

Nothing beats an ice cold Molson Canadian on a hot day though.

I like a good whiskey as well, but I do not buy a malt very often I usually go for a bottle of Grants or if I fancy a malt maybe Mcallen od The Glen Livet.
But back to the beer, I think it went up 1p in the Budget but it has actually gone up 10p. Now where is the justice in that, I wonder? It gives the impression they are wanting to kill the trade off.
