Pc was infected with spyware

Unread postby maria » February 23rd, 2007, 9:47 am

My pc was quite slow. I tried to clean it with adaware and spybot.
I tried to install zonealarm, but after the install, my desktop showed up, without any icons, just my backgroundpicture. So I uninstalled zonealarm.
After that, I reinstalled zonealarm, and it seems to work now.
Can you please look at my log I made with hijackthis.

Thanks for helping!

Not seeing anything bad in your log, Maria.

Are you having any issues with your PC or is it behaving properly now?

Thank you, for helping me.
I'm glad my log is clean. I do see some lines about spywaredocter. I uninstalled that program. So I think its strange it is still mentioned in my log.
Also, I had to uninstall zonealarm again. It gives me troubles. When I startup my pc, Only my bacgroundpicture appears. I have to wait like 15 minutes before I can see and use my taskbar and desktopshortcuts. After uninstalling zonealarm, they appear almost immediately after the windowsXP welcome screen.
I know its not save not having a firewall, but this is to annoying. I hope you can help me with this issue.
Thanks, Maria

Hello,
I'm still a little worried about not running a firewall. As mentioned above, I have difficulties with zonealarm.
Sorry to bump this, but I really dont know how to solve it myself.

Ack... terribly sorry about not getting back to you sooner. For some reason I didn't get email notifications about you replying.

Still having issues?
