Hi DAKiD407,

Looks like you have a Vundo infection.
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Nice job with the VundoFix, that has helped. Now, let's clean up what's left on your computer.

• SHOW IT ALL! Be sure that Windows is set to show hidden and system files and folders.
  In My Computer, click Tools >> Folder Options >> View, set Hidden files and folder to "Show," and uncheck Hide protected operating system files.
  
• HOUSECLEANING. Especially if your computer’s performance is heavily compromised, clean out the Temporary Internet Files and Temp folders first.
  Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.
  Navigate to the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\ folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.
  Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.
  Finally, go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.
  Empty Your Recycle Bin.
  
• GET TO SAFE MODE. It is easier to remove many malware applications while in Safe Mode.
  
  You can do this by restarting your computer, then contiunally tapping F8 until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.
  
  You'll want to print out these instructions because you will not have internet access while in Safe Mode.
  
• REMOVE PROGRAMS. Some parasites can be easily and effectively removed from the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel.
  Please go to Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs and remove VSAdd-in, if it is present.
  
• CLEAN OUT ANY REMAINING GARBAGE. We need to clean up any garbage that eluded our malware scanners.
  
  Now, scan with HijackThis and check the following if present.
  
  O2 - BHO: (no name) - {46A4E9D9-B30E-452A-8157-DBBEC8573B03} - C:\Program Files\VSAdd-in\VSAdd-in.dll (file missing)
  O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F18F04B0-9CF1-4b93-B004-77A288BEE28B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmlkqtei.dll (file missing)
  O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FA4F698F-7FAB-4FB5-8A08-B98F61E8F1E3} - C:\WINDOWS\bktuil.dll
  O3 - Toolbar: &VSAdd-in - {74DD705D-6834-439C-A735-A6DBE2677452} - C:\Program Files\VSAdd-in\VSAdd-in.dll (file missing)
  O20 - Winlogon Notify: bktuil - C:\WINDOWS\bktuil.dll

  CLOSE ALL OTHER WINDOWS and select "Fixed Checked".
  
  Please note: you could fix this line O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} (PopCapLoader Object) - http://www.shockwave.com/content/bejewe ... er_v10.cab
  Some people regard PopCapLoader as spyware. It is used to play bejeweled2 on-line. If you decide to fix it, then decide you'd like to play Bejeweled2 again, it will simply be re-downloaded to your system.
  
• TIDY UP. Almost there!
  Now, browse to the following folders and files and delete them if present.
  C:\Program Files\VSAdd-in <= This whole folder
  C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmlkqtei.dll
  C:\WINDOWS\bktuil.dll
  
  Also, please go to Start=>Search and search for wintfj32.dll. If it is found, please delete it as well.
  
  Now, reboot into normal mode, scan again with HijackThis and post a new log.

Dear fencer girl thank you for your help i am at work right now but last night i folowed all of ur instructions. the vs-file i could not remove. one of the bad files found in the vundo fix can not be removed

Let's see if we can get rid of the file remaining from Vundo.

Download killbox here:

KillBox

Unzip the folder to your desktop.

Start Killbox.exe

When it is open, enter C:\WINDOWS\bktuil.dll into the field labeled "Full path of file to delete".

Select the Delete on reboot option.

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.

You will get a prompt that asks you this:

All files will be deleted on reboot

Click yes to that

You will then get this prompt:

files will be removed on reboot. Do you want to reboot now?

Cick YES.

Your computer will reboot and check to see if the file is gone.

I'd like to see an uninstall list
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will now be presented with a screen similar to the one below:



5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.

Also, please post another HijackThis log.
