so far things look better. I haven't encountered the dreaded winantivirus hijack since the last set of cleaning.

Is it cured now? I posted the last hijack log file but had no replies.

You remember when I asked you to download and run Fixwareout but there were some problems? Well, we'll try that now again.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you
will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/l ... areout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make
sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will
begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer;
please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is
normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Finally, please post a fresh HijackThis log, along with the contents of
the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Please post:
C:\rapport.txt & a fresh hjt log.

Hi Blade81,

I have only found one of the files on my which is this one:
c:\windows\system32\diantzpt.exe

I have checked to see I can see the hidden files but when I highlighted and copied from your post they didn't open in Killbox, which is why i tried to navigate to them but could only find the one above.

These I could not find.
c:\windows\system32\audissrp.exe
c:\windows\system32\fixmapirs.exe
c:\windows\system32\autodmfp.exe
c:\windows\system32\sprmove.exe

Yes, those all don't necessarily exist. Could you post that diantzpt.exe you found to Spykiller and then continue with rest of instructions, please? :)

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update to the latest version...

  • Scroll down to where it says
The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications.
  • Click the
    Download
    button to the right.
  • Check the box that says:
    Accept License Agreement.
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
