Hey Colditz,

Copy the following to notepad/print ot off so you can follow it

Run an online scan here

Housecall - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/houseca ... t_corp.asp

Allow them to remove anything they find and note down anything they find but cannot rmeove and its location and post back here in your reply

Reboot

Add Remove Programs

Start - Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs (Might not be there)

Wild Tangent
ICQ Toolbar

Run Hijackthis and put a check mark next to the following

R3 - URLSearchHook: ICQ Toolbar - {855F3B16-6D32-4fe6-8A56-BBB695989046} - C:\Program Files\ICQToolbar\toolbaru.dll

O3 - Toolbar: ICQ Toolbar - {855F3B16-6D32-4fe6-8A56-BBB695989046} - C:\Program Files\ICQToolbar\toolbaru.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ScanRegistry] C:\W

O8 - Extra context menu item: &ICQ Toolbar Search - res://C:\Program Files\ICQToolbar\toolbaru.dll/SEARCH.HTML

O16 - DPF: {3A7FE611-1994-4EF1-A09F-99456752289D} - http://install.wildtangent.com/ActiveLa ... uncher.cab

With all windows closed click "fix"

Exit HijackThis when done. Reboot into Safe Mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded. Using Windows Explorer, find and delete the following:

C:\W

Reboot

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start > Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

Post a New Log back here
