Thank you very much for your reply. There is nothing definately wrong it is just an overall slowing down. for instance, when first going into Outlook express, it takes about 45 seconds to come up. Sometimes when I click on a window to shut it down,again it takes quite some time to respond. I have done all the usual checks including scandisk and defrag. Asking you to look at my log, was "a just in case" scenerio. Thanks again. J
