I'm moving an issue I'm having to this forum from another for more support. bamajim has been kind enough to help me along, and I'll be posting more later today, per his instructions. Below is what has been going on already:
I've got the safetyhomepage.net issue going on and need help. My homepage is set to blank, and it still pops up with the safetyhomepage.net, with the warning to download stuff. There is also a protection bar added to my browser. I ran AdAward personal SE, spyware blaster and my Dell installed antivirus with no luck. Here's the HJthis log, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Drew

THEN:
I downloaded and ran Adware Away, and that seems to have removed the malware. I don't seem to have any problems now, is there something I'm missing? I don't want this to come back and haunt me later on. Thanks for the help!

Please go here
And Download SmitFraudFix by S!ri
Save it to your Desktop
Rt Click SmitFraudfix.exe->>Extract all the archive content to your desktop
Open the SmitfraudFix folder
Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
Open that file, Ctrl+A to copy, and post a copy of that log as a reply to this thread
Do Not run option 2 until instructed to do so
