I was just interested to know if there are any fellow Marillion fans on this board?

I get funny looks at work becuase they say Im too young to like Marillion (who haven been around for the 80's, 90's and 00's)

Yet I have listened to them for as long as I can remember,

Never heard of them, why not listen to some demo's/examples of their site

http://www.marillion.com/

I carry there name in my sig too

(Im trying to get Miek into them, but I think Im failing  )

You found one here :)

It was a natural progression for me, after the demise of the original 'Gabriel' Genesis

Return of the Giant Hogweed is a very old Genesis song, i think its on "nursey Crimes". Sorry, I was just reminiscing.

personally I prefer Marillion with Fish, one hell of a frontman, mind you, the chap who replaced him also does a great job. have you heard any of the solo albums from Fish? Try "raingods with Zippos". I have it playing at the moment.

Im not a big Fish fan, although we do have some of his solo albums,

I much prefer Steve Hoarth who is far better than Fish as the front man for Marillion in my opinion

I must admit that I have not seen them with Steve Hogarth, and to be honest, the last time I saw marillion with Fish, he was completely incoherent.
I must go and see them next time they are touring, are the rest of the band the same guys?

Yes there still the same guys,

I carry the website in my sig for Marillion

Also they are touring in Novermber, (a Christams gig) they are currently finishing off a world tour, I saw them on that

Anyway they have announced 2 dates so far for this special gig, one is in Wolverhampton Civic Hall and the other is down London

Check their site out for details
