Unification of AVIRA and AntiVir Product Lines

"We are pleased to inform you that AVIRA GmbH and its sister company H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH are going to unite their businesses to provide you an even better service and an extended line of products.

One aspect of this deal is the unification of our product line.
Starting from 1 February 2006 the existing AVIRA products are substituted by the high-quality AntiVir products. Updates for the existing AVIRA products will still be available.

All AVIRA customers will receive a free upgrade to the corresponding AntiVir product plus 6 month of extra license time free of charge, if they do migrate to the solutions before 1 March 2006. A product overview and free trials of the solutions can be found here."
