Trusteer Rapport can no longer be trusted!

Unread postby Sludge3000 » August 6th, 2013, 12:09 pm

Cybercrooks on an underground forum have developed a technique to bypass anti-Trojan technology from Trusteer used by financial institutions worldwide – including HSBC and Paypal – to protect depositors from cybersnoopers.

While the story states that underground forums have been discussing potential bypass techniques for some time, this appears to be the first one publicly acknowledge my Trusteer. As we all know, the black hat developers who maintain these types of malware are always looking for ways to stay ahead of the AV companies and this certainly looks to make their malware more effective at what it does.

I'll let you know if I hear of this in the wild.

Stay safe
