I got real writers block now:

My assignment so far: :D

Business Travel

The Business Travel Market is extensive and large, and consists of varied companies which can be split into two sectors:

· Providers
· Customers

The Companies that are involved in Business Travel are there to provide a service and meet the needs of their customers:

Ill get there eventually

Could the internet and full-streaming (real-time) video conferncing eventually do away with the need for business travel? If it does, would that effect the travel industry if the larger portion of it was financed by the business community.

Off topic, I think we're wandering ... well, off topic, I think I'm wandering.

Interesting remark, because by and large I enjoy travel for holiday purposes, but for business purposes .... forget it. All you get to see is the airport, your hotel room, and the office (as well as the roads) with very little time to actually enjoy where you are.

I'd be glad to see video conferencing take over from business travel, but that would have a huge impact on the travel business as a whole. Not that I do much (if any) business travel, but I really wouldn't want to be sent somewhere really lovely only to not be able to enjoy any of it.

Also ... think of the environmental effect it would have.

The other issue is, of course, the one of different timezones. If I'm in the UK and I've got colleagues in California for example, who will get to work the antisocial hours?
