A new Trojan has been sighted at Dell.

Can anyone write a removal instruction (canned) for it please.

Chris here's your canned

You have been infected by the Big Wooden Trojan

You may need to print out theses instructions as your machine may be to hot to handle during the fix.

First go here and download the 2 tools needed for this fix

Tool number 1 the "Flaming Arrow Removal Tool" by Roger Redneck
Tool number 2 the "Ash Sucker" also by Roger Redneck @ Boob Labs

I. Start by booting into SafeDistance Mode. (This can be accomplished by tapping your foot to the F8 backup mode) If your not fimilar with this step just press the F8 key with a 3 foot stick

II. Launch the "Flaming Arrow Removal Tool"
(The screen may turn red, and the hardrive may smoke a little, but this is normal)

III. Once the computer screen turns back to blue, turn on the "Ash Sucker" tool. (your computer may make a loud sucking noise, this is normal)

IV. Reboot your pc. And your done

If this fix has been effective, consider a donation to Boob Labs Where our moto is "it's what's up front that counts.

Why go to such lengths? I am sure Alfa Cleaner would fix it nicely too.

Good job, bamajim, but don't forget the reminder to add this to the clean speech in order to prevent reinfection...

Oh, now we DEFINITELY need that too-much-time-on-your-hands emoticon. :sign5:

Seriously, Jim, that was very cool and strangely southern ;-) and I doubt you-know-who will forget you are a member here now ;-)

This is a very clever group of folks. I'm sure glad y'all are on our side. Uh, you are all on our side right? :?: :?:

You appear to be under threat from the Wooden Horse trojan.

This is a serious infection, and can lead to rape, pillage and general slaughter if the following preventive measures are not taken.

  • Do not take any vacations in Greece.
  • Do not seek the aquiantance of any women by the name of Helen.
  • If you are an inhabitant of Troy, apply to your doctor at once for sick leave.
  • If large numbers of strange drunken tourists appear outside the city looking for a fight, do not open your city gates.
  • Under no circumstances should you open the gates to strange wooden deities (no matter how much of an equine fan you are).
  • If you have not heeded the prior advice, you should not go near the city square on or about midnight.
