question

I have a question concerning my application to MRU.

What exactly is this waiting list all about? Does this mean that I have to wait until a student leaves the university?

Thanks in advance.

That's pretty much it.

We have a long list of people who want training and a limited number of people who are qualified to train them, we limit numbers so that Teacher\Student ratios are kept to workable limits.

Places on the course are allocated as they become available. For a number of reasons student turnover is fairly high, so most successful new applicants do not have too long to wait, but because of all the variables involved we are not in a position to give any accurate indication of just how long.

How exactly will I know if I've received a spot? Are we talking a couple months wait, because I don't know if I'd remember.

You'll be contacted by the Teacher who deals with admissions by PM and/or e-mail and offered a place, if you don't reply to the message within a reasonable time (usually 3 or 4 days) then your place will be offered to another applicant.

As I said in my last post it's impossible for me to give any kind of accurate estimate for how long you may have to wait, but I believe it's currently about a month, though that could easily change dependant on demands I'm not aware of.
