First off let me say I know nothing technical troubling shooting and what little I've had to do could be either divine intervention or just plain luck that I haven't erased my system .
Ok here's my problem, besides being a complete noob, I'm sure if this is spyware of just a corrupted file, every minute I get a AOLUnifiedSysTray: aolsoftware.exe - Corrupt File appears out of the system's tray, but I can't seem to get rid of this cmls_ms.tlv file which keeps my warning bubble popping up about every minute or so. It list it as corrupt and unreadable and tells me to run the Chkdsk utility. Everytime I try to run the Chkdsk utility it quickly closes seconds before I can type anything. The file's directory is C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Local Settings\Application Data\AOL\UserProfiles\1124143624\myname\metrics\cmls_ms.tlv
Ok I've tried using that wonderful Pocket Killbox program and followed the tutorial you all were so gracious to list here using the program but when I tried all 3 of the procedures, it kept giving this BS about: This file does not seem to exist.
How can I get rid of it?
