i choose nigel because its a nickname i got in high school.
A teacher had problems reading my name miguel and just said nigel all year to me
Haha, Nigel, that's funny (and weird at the same time :P )

Mystery is my preferred online identity (unfortunately already taken in many online communities, so I sometimes have to add a bit more to it); doesn't have any connection to other "characters", I'm just a mysterious being :alien:
I had been known on the CB years ago in Calif as Pegasus and used that in chat and forums for a few years. After a while "Pegasus" seemed to be used by quite a few people :( so instead of using a variety of variations, and since moving to upstate New York in '85, I've been PegasusNY online. :D
Good Topic. :thumbright:

My name Jasper The Rasper may seem an odd one, but Jasper is a nickname I picked up at college in the early '80's and the Rasper part came from, well let's just say something I picked up at about the same time  .
The nickname just sort of stuck with me through all of these years so it was a natural one to use on the sites.
Every Perfect Circle (Twilight or otherwise) is an ellipse.

For those that aren't familiar with "Perfect Circle", my name means x^2 / a^2 + y^2 / b^2 = 1.

(don't worry if the Perfect Circle reference makes no sense)
G'day guys =)

Tuvach = No idea where i got this name from heard it once, Sounded Good for online gameing, Stuck with it. I use it all over the place now, Though sometimes in games I go by Shaltak - again no idea where it came from.

If anyone has heard of them or knows where there from please let me know it really bugs me :o

Interesting Topic by the way :D
Hi Tuvach

Shaltak is to my knowledge a location in Kyrgyzstan, I don't know if there are any other meanings/roots of this word.
For Tuvach, I have never heard it, but maybe it's written differently? It sounds like a character name in a science fiction :alien:
My name, sludge3000, dates back to when i first got on the internet and needed a user name. Simple really, Step 1: Turn to a random page in the dictionary and pick a random word, Step 2: add a number on the end untill it accepts you user name. Have been using it ever since
I hope that you didn't have to try all numbers from 1 to 3000
Took me a long time before i could login :( j/k first couple didn't work so just went for a random number lol :P
Isnt Tuvach (tuvok or "too-vok" as its pronounced) a star trek character?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuvok
Hehe, I thought of that, too
Could be. But I'm not quite sure how it's pronounced.
I knew I'd heard it before, I dare say that may be where its come from, Though I haven't watched the Trek in years!

I pronounce Tuvach like - Too-Va-K - So it may just be a memory couldnt remmber it 100% so I invented something to suit lol

At least the spelling is original
Yersinia pestis,is the name for the bacteria that causes plague.
At the time I started using the name,I just read Albert Camus's book "Plague",
and was into the history of the outbreaks of plague, and their effects on history.
The "2" part is because for some reason i could not register just "ypestis".

As this is my first post, thank all of you for allowing me to join your forum.

1. Tequesta is were I hang my hat. We live in the Village of Tequesta.

2. The Tequesta (tuh-KES-tuh) were a small, peaceful, Native American tribe. I don't think there are any left. Settlement battles, slavery, and disease killed most of them off by the late 1800s. The tribe was on the East Coast and went from Miami to Martin County.

I am not Native American, but I think I was a chief in a past life. :king:

3. Finally Tequesta is pronounced like the Spanish phrase Te Cuesta, which means it will cost you. I believe that everything in life come with a cost, and not just monetary.

It was that or John49872.
