I see the English people around here have shyed away now that they lost. :(

But Brazil lost to France :?:

Nah, we're used to losing (specially penalty shoot outs), so this is just one more to add to the list.

Not too surprised about Brasil going out either, they really didn't put in the effort, and it was only a matter of time till someone knocked them out.

France look like they could go all the way now.

I would speak my mind, however this is a family forum :)

It was a shame that Portugal needed to cheat. However when it came down to a penalty shoot out. We know what will happen and where we stand. :(

Re Brazil. Like Gary said. Not suprised. Zidane played well. Just as he did in '98. What a weird game football can be. Just two weeks ago everyone was againts France. Now look at them. They beat the reigning champs!

Forza Italia!

Missed the game, didn't get in till late, just seen the result.

Well done Italy, at least it didn't have to go to another penalty shootout.
Final tomorrow. And I really want France to win. Mainly because I am an Arsenal fan and love Henry.

But never count them Italians out. With all what is going on in Italy about match fixing. They may just win it!

Looking good at half-time!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Am I to understand you're happy with the result Vino Rosso?

Well done Italy. Not the most exciting World Cup game I've ever seen, but I think the best team won in the end.

Anyone got any idea why Zidane freaked out?
Maybe he thought that he may aswell. They ain't going to ban him now are they?

Honestly I don't know why. Neither do his team mates. :?
French press don't seem to happy:

FRENCH PRESS REACTION
"A final and odious headbutt. We were left speechless by such stupidity" - Figaro
"This exit from football is unworthy of him" - Le Parisien
"How could this happen to a man like you?" - L'Equipe
"He is prone like all of us to weakness and anger" - La Montagne
"Too much pressure, too much worshipping of a player who was made for a quiet, simple life" - La Republique du Centre
"Zidane botched his exit" - L'Est republicain

Though of course, quotes could have been chosen for their unhappy reaction to Zidane ;)

Zinedine Zidane's agent says the France captain headbutted Marco Materazzi in Sunday's World Cup final because the Italian made a "very serious" comment.

Worth a read :D
Was a pretty good head butt though... I gave it a 8.5. Still think he should've followed it up with an elbow drop and went for the pin! :D
