Affected by GameOver Zeus/Cryptolocker?

Hi,

I'm a Canadian journalist doing a substantial (current affairs) TV piece on cyber crime for national broadcast this fall - with a particular focus on the GameOver Zeus botnet.
I'm trying to connect with anyone in North American (particularly Canada - but the US also) who was affected by GOZ or Cryptolocker.

If you - or someone you know might have been affected - please drop me a line.

With thanks
Carolyn

The Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! is not the place for a post of this type, it is the place for people to post in who need help with their computers, so I have moved your topic to a more appropriate place.

If you're wanting information on specific Ransomware infections, I suggest you also post at Bleeping Computer, as they specialise in those types of infection, and there is a wealth of information available on that subject over there.

For information on Cryptolocker see ... http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/cryptolocker-ransomware-information ... though most supposed Cryptolocker victims these days are actually victims of TorrentLocker ... http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/549016/torrentlocker-support-and-discussion-thread-cryptolocker-copycat/

If you're wanting to make contact with actual victims I would talk to the site owner over there, Lawrence Abrams (Grinler) as he will be able to tell you where to post your request to get the best feedback.
Thanks so much Gary! Much appreciated!
You're welcome. :)

Good luck with your TV piece.
