Hello, I have a problem I got this Bsod and donno how to fix it. also I think I changed the permissions on my files b/c now when I try to view my photos it says that I dont have permission to do so. Here is the info that I got from the blue screen error. Also my laptop will not reboot unless schedule a disc check .It will power on but no keyboard lights or display. Eventually I can get it to start up but it takes a while.

BSOD with bugcheck 0xf4 (0x3,,,) - a process vital to Windows unexpectedly terminated.

0xf4 is often caused by HDD failure.

First, run Windows System Restore to reset (undo) your file permission changes. Select a restore point prior to the perm changes.

Hi! You might try Who Crashed, and also see if the reliability monitor has any clues. I do agree that it sounds like the HHD may be failing. Sea tools will answer that question for you! You might want to also run a chkdsk to check for bad sectors on your HHD!
PS You might also want to read when the OP created this thread JC!
