Task Manager in WinXP has "end process" grayed out

I can't end any processes. The end process button has been grayed out and inaccessible to me. Please advise.

XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, and because of that this forum also does not support that OS ... see ... viewtopic.php?p=560007#p560007

We strongly advise you to update to a newer operating system.
