Does anyone have a link to a small PDF program to run on XP ( so far with SP2 installed ) that does not have any unwanted additions such as Google tool bar etc? Most sites/links etc I have seen give me' unwanted additions '!! :?:

PDF Creator is popular and I have always managed to install it without any additional tool bars (but from memory it does offer to install something but it is an option).

From your other topic... I would install SP3 and all subsequent updates to your system before installing any additional programs.
These additional programs may require SP3 be installed. :)

Are you looking for a PDF reader or creator ?

If a reader, then I use Foxit Reader, you've just got to remember to de-select any pre-selected toolbars that come with it when you install. I've used it for years and as far as I'm aware it runs OK on XP.

I am seeking a PDF reader..as small as possible really

I was ( may be wrongly ) of the impression that such was a part of XP?

Do you have a good link to Foxit
or some other PDF program that is small and has no unwanted attachements?

All I currently need presently is to be able to open PDF files :!:

Use the link against Foxit Reader, and make sure you choose the appropriate OS from the drop down list. By default it's set to Windows 32/64 bit, which is the one you want.

When you're installing it, make sure you uncheck the 2 pre-checked options to install Foxit PDF Creator Toolbar, which is really just the Ask Toolbar in disguise.
