You don't, all posts are left in place, even if your problems were not resolved.

Did you try posting at Norton like DeltaLima suggested, and were they able to help you ?

As a general comment, I will say that I do not recommend the use of "Computer Optimisation" programs like Norton Utilities. They do little to actually improve the performance of anyone's machine, and all such programs seem to create more problems than they ever resolve, as you've found out for yourself.

If Norton were unable to help you resolve the problem that their program created, then the only suggestion I could make is for you to back up your personal files and folders, and then reformat and re-install Windows. The details for doing that with an e-machines computer can be found in this post .... http://support.gateway.com/emachines/so ... 0su4.shtml

You will of course have to re-install all your programs after such a move, so make sure you have the installers for them all stored on external media (like a usb drive) before you "restore to factory". Don't forget to backup your address book and your favorites/bookmarks either.
