So, when I open internet explorer, it keeps opening as about:blank. I changed it back in internet properties, but it went right back to about:blank. Any suggestions?

Hi

Reset Internet Explorer (IE)

Download this Microsoft fixit & save it to your desktop.

  • Right click MicrosoftFixit50195.msi and choose "Install"
  • Check the box I Agree & click next
  • Click next, then Reset when prompted.
  • Close & restartIE

Does the behaviour persist?
