Laptop running extremely slow

Hi I have a laptop that is running extremely slow. It has hardly been used and cannot mitigate the drag. EVERY action takes a considerable amount of time to process (12 secs for the start menu to open after clicking).

Please help.

Please follow the advice here

If you the computer is still running slowly then I suggest you follow the instructions here to open a topic in the Malware Removal forum and someone will check the logs that you post.
