DrWatson Postmortem Debugger

I have recently been getting some errors when using IE. This DrWatson thingy is causing it. I googled it and have got a lot of mixed messages about it. Some people say the Acebot Trojan uses it. Anyone here know more about this?

Log is clean, Windzor... Dr. Watson still giving you issues?

Nope, not for a little while now. But when I did my virus scan I did come across a trojan. AVG got rid of it. Glad to hear I am clean, thanks ;-)

Nice to hear AVG squashed that one.

Though your HJT log is clean... I'd like you to do a KAV scan please. Want to make sure nothing else is lurking.

Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
  Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
  • Scan Options:
  Scan Archives
  Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:
  Select My Computer
• This will program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.

Post the log please.

I ran the Kaspersky program, but after the scan was complete, I was not provided a button to click to save as text. The window that pops up when using the program doesnt expand all the way to the bottom. Part of it is cut off and I dont have the option to expand it any further. But it does says this...." The scan is complete. No malware has been detected. The sections that have been scanned are CLEAN. " And beneath that it says the report is empty.

OK... good enough... you're system seems clean
