I forgot to mention that - The key was set on 93 I think and I changed it to 145.

The computer is running better - Still slow, but that has to do with the 128mb of RAM on this machine.

Now - What can I do to this computer to keep the two sisters from messing this up in the future?

Thanks for the work cleaning this.

Good to hear!

As for suggestions...

To clean up anything that may have been left behind, I suggest doing a couple online virus scans. A couple good ones are Panda ActiveScan and TrendMicro HouseCall. Let them fix anything they find. Reboot between each scan.

If you don't have them, download Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. Visit this page for proper configuration of Spybot and Ad-Aware. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

I recommend downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD as well. The programs are free and can be updated... so please do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

If you don't have one, I recommend installing a Firewall. I'm sure you've heard of ZoneAlarm.

Check out these links How'd I get Infected and Understanding Spyware as well, some good information for you.

The best deterrent, though, is to educate them about Malware. Have them read the links. Let them know what it can do(everything from Ad popups to logging keystrokes and stealing personal information). Make them aware they shouldnt click "Yes" to anything that popups in front of them. Let them know what a pain it is to try and fix the infections.

Of course... I dont know how old they are so I cant say how in depth you can go on the subject... but a little awareness should go a long way... hopefully :)

Anything else?

Thank you for your help - I should be able to lock the computer down enough for them to use it without infecting it.

The service this site gives is excellent.

Thanks for posting the log... just that one AOL entry to get rid of.

Click Start>Run type in services.msc and hit Enter. In the list look for AOL Connectivity Service. Right click on it and choose Properties. Stop the service and change the Startup to Disabled. Close the services console.

Run HJT and press the Misc Tools button then the Delete an NT Service button. In the text field type/copy/paste AOL ACS and click OK.

Reboot and rescan with HJT and post the new log.

Thanks!
