SPYWARESTRIKE and associated pains

whyle surfing around the internet my computer came into contact with some MalWare.

it is the one that reads..

now I read your solves and tryed them myself before posting but I think Im missing somthing.

I have tryed Spybot S&D AdAware SE Norton AntiVirus Corp. ed. SpyDoctor. and TrojanHunter.

I have even done an Manual Regedit that took hours.

but still... to no avail.

I have traced the source of the infection to ZEDO.COM Via tracking cookies that were blocked trying to escape with information minutes after the popup psudo hijacked windows update appeared on the taskbar and told of the infection and how to remove it with more spyware that was installing itself WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Im about ready to wipe my hard drive and start from scratch

you have ad-aware running in the background.

What happens sometimes with this program - it may have happened here.

Ad-watch records the 'good' entries to the registry startup list (and other places).
When spywarestrike got installed - it was added to the 'good' list.

Now that a program has removed the entry ad-watch may be trying to put it back.

You can turn off ad-watch and try a reboot and see if that stops the problem.

In a worst case you may need to reinstall ad-aware plus.

If that does not work we may have something unknown to the fix maker at the moment - so I might need you to run more scans by some other programs.

I am based in the UK - its after midnight here, and I am heading off to bed, so I will pick up what you find out tomorrow.

THIS IS NEW... now I cant shutdown my computer...
it seems the Malware recognises that id it has been removed from the registry it can only resurface in the event of a computer failure knowing that the computer will revert to its last known good running configuration in the event of a crash. therefore it makes you have to HARD power down your computer, knowing that when it powers back up by Default its going to revert back to the version where the spieware was not yet removed.
Id really like to know where these guys live who make this maleware shit.
it seems to be comming from ZEDO.COM.

I will visirt that domain with a VPC window - to see if they try to infect me. Some domains 'know' about VPC/VM and will not infect us, so it may work.

I have visited that domain.

It is the domain of an advertising company - nothing was installed on my machine (apart from the domain cookie).

So that is the target of what every you have installed - not the place where you were infected or were directed from.

Can you tell me where you were trying to get TO when you get any redirect or popup advert.
