trojan dropper

Unread postby Giova » April 30th, 2017, 5:16 pm

Hi, I found a virus in three excel files that I created some years ago. I made the scan with Qihoo360, the name of the virus is "trojan.office.qexvmc 1065". I did a research and I found that other antivirus named it as "W97M/Dropper.da".

There were many very important data in this file, so I'm wondering what the trojan can have done (if the excel file could have been stolen or if the virus is only a dropper/downloader of other malwares but cannot directly steal anything), and WHY it was the excel file itself the virus (it's a file that was created by me! I didn't downloaded it from the web...

Thank you!
