Hi,

Slider was set to the lowest setting, which isn't something I would have changed and certainly haven't always had the problem. Moved it to the top position and it's remedied the issue, thankyou.

Opened Task Manager because the system was running slow- Is it usual for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (32 bit) to be using almost 200mb of memory? Also Disk is running at 97%+, with nothing clearly using excess amounts.

Hi,

Does it happen every time the system is started (after reboot)? If you sort the view by Disk column what is top consumer?

Yes, I've had the laptop on and off a few times and MBAM's still using almost 200MB, VCAgent is using 110MB+ too.

Disk usage seems to be varying wildly, from 0% - 90%, although nothing is really going above 0.3 MB/s (VCAgent). "Service Host: Local System (Network Restricted) (13)" sometimes kicks up a little bit.

Hi,

Sorry for delayed reply. I was away from computer.

Disk usage sounds ok (it normally varies like the way you described). VCAgent process belongs to Vaio's own utilities.

Due to inactivity this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
