Okay, a while ago I tried to run a program that I deemed suspicious on the Avast! Sandbox. Ever since, I've been plagued by various Newpoptab popups, redirects, and other annoying paraphernalia. After running various programs countless times that were recommended by posts by others with this disease of a virus, I've decided that the best choice of mine might be to make my own post about this fresh hell I've been put into. Places that got popups and redirects have been all my browsers and even the Steam overlay. Upon making new pages, clicking anywhere on the page 90% of the time creates a popup redirect, sometimes instantly closed, sometimes not.

After running a few more tests and restarting my computer, I think the malware /may/ be gone, since I haven't gotten any popups or redirects so far, but it might be safe to try to see if anything is left over. I really don't want my HDD crashing because of some long-standing malware killing it.
