Sorry dannia4, but this is not something that just happens to get downloaded in passing as it requires a specific license key to install it; especially one that validates it as 100 percent genuine.
Did you buy this from a private party or from a vendor, ie: Fry's Electronics, Staples, Best Buy, etc...?

Please note, that License issue with Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is not sold to individual home computer users and hence is not generally legal on a home computer even it was bought via your employer.

The Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is not sold to individual home computer users and hence is not generally legal on a home computer.

Per our policy concerning illegally licensed software, I can offer you no further assistance as long as you have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 installed.

I strongly recommend that you uninstall Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 however that choice is up to you.

Hi wannabeageek,

I purchased this computer from Best Buy approximately 3 years ago. It is my first computer. I am a senior citizen and have little experience on the computer. I use it only for e-mailing, chatting on a forum, playing games, and looking up a few things. I probably don't know or would even understand 99% of its capability!

I looked at my "All Programs" list and do not see MS Office Enterprise 2007 listed anywhere. Microsoft Office Word 2007 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 are listed. I fully understand and respect your policy and I'm happy to proceed with your instructions, but can you tell me if this program could have been included with my purchase from Best Buy? What MS Office Enterprise do, in particular? Is it something I would need? I'm sorry for this stupid question, but is it something that might be essential to this computer?

Thanks.

If I uninstall it, it won't affect MS Office Word 2007 or MS Office Excel 2007 in any way? Thanks again.

Hi wannabeageek,

I spent the past couple of hours trying to investigate this situation. I looked at my "Add/Remove" programs list and see Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 listed. I then called Microsoft and they have no clue as to why I have the program or how I got it. All they could tell me was that they don't install Enterprise as a Microsoft update. Then I called Toshiba. They said they do not pre-install Enterprise. Then I called Best Buy. Their Geek Squad tech said he doesn't know how or when Enterprise was installed, but that Enterprise is bound to my Microsoft Office Word 2007 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007, so by uninstalling it, it would remove those two programs!

I saw Microsoft Office 2010 listed somewhere on my computer and I bought this computer in 2010. The GS tech said that I purchased my computer with probably a 60-day trial period for Microsoft Office. I vaguely remember bringing my computer in to the Best Buy store quite a while ago and their Geek Squad did something with it, but I can't remember what I brought it in for. I'm thinking it's possible it was the end of my trial period and they installed the permanent Word and Excel programs (?) Perhaps they installed Enterprise 2007 as the package that contains both Word and Excel programs (?) The GS tech told me if I bring my computer in to the store again, they will be able to give me more information. I will probably do this to get a more definitive answer about this situation. Until then, I cannot go ahead and uninstall Enterprise as I don't know what it might delete on my computer.

Do you have any other suggestions for me? Thanks.
