The 2nd log should contain a lot more than that, and I can't see why you're having problems running a search.

Please do the following for me ....

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

If you already have a copy of OTL delete it and use this version.

  • Double click OTL.exe to launch the programme.
  • Check the following.
    • Scan all users.
    • Standard Output.
    • Lop check.
    • Purity check.
  • Under Extra Registry section, select Use SafeList
  • Click the Run Scan button and wait for the scan to finish (usually about 10-15 mins).
  • When finished it will produce two logs.
    • OTL.txt (open on your desktop).
    • Extras.txt (minimised in your taskbar)
  • Please post me both logs.

Then ...

Please download SystemLook from the link below and save it to your Desktop.

For 64 bit Systems

  • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
  • Copy and paste the contents of the following codebox into the main textfield:
    Code: Select all
    :filefind
    *Fun4IM*
    *Bandoo*
    *Searchnu*
    *Searchqu*
    *iLivid*
    *whitesmoke*
    *datamngr*
    *trolltech*
    *babylon*
    *conduit*

    :folderfind
    *Fun4IM*
    *Bandoo*
    *Searchnu*
    *Searchqu*
    *iLivid*
    *whitesmoke*
    *datamngr*
    *trolltech*
    *babylon*
    *conduit*

    :Regfind
    Fun4IM
    Bandoo
    Searchnu
    Searchqu
    iLivid
    whitesmoke
    datamngr
    kelkoopartners
    trolltech
    babylon
    conduit

  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
  • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan.
  • Please post this log in your next reply.
Note: The log can also be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

Summary of the logs I need from you in your next post:
  • OTL.txt
  • Extras.txt
  • SystemLook.txt

Please post each log separately to prevent it being cut off by the forum post size limiter. Check each after you've posted it to make sure it's all present, if any log is cut off you'll have to post it in sections.

It shouldn't be running as long s that.

Which AV programs did you keep, Avast or Comodo ?

Whichever it is, disable it temporarily and try running the scan again please. It should only take about 15-20 mins to complete, if it's still running much after that, please get back to me.

OK, try the following for me ...

Please download ... Microsoft Security Essentials ... http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/wind ... s-download ... Do not install it yet.

Next ...

Disconnect from the Internet, then ...

Please go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program and Uninstall the following:

Comodo

Reboot your computer once Comodo has been uninstalled

Now install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Next ...

Try running the OTL and SystemLook scans again for me please.

Due to lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
