Combofix scan completed. Do I have to uninstall it?

Unread postby gillianf » November 5th, 2013, 10:12 pm

Hopefully this isn't posted to the wrong board. I've run Combofix, got the log, etc. Just wondered if I needed to uninstall it? Ok to keep it installed for future scans or not?

Thanks in advance,
Gillian

Who asked you to run Combofix ?

Combofix is not a tool that is supposed to be used without expert oversight, sUBs the creator of Combofix has gone to great lengths to let people know this, including a clear and succinct message which is displayed every time that Combofix is run.

Do you have an existing Malware problem ?

If yes, then please follow the directions given in THIS post.
