Malware or virus downloaded from Google image

Unread postby bmurrie » September 25th, 2012, 7:38 pm

Last night I clicked on a Google image - almost immediately my computer froze and a marketing message (something about the FBI, and me needing to purchase something to unlock my computer). I knew right away I must have downloaded malware or a virus. Since then, my WinPatrol keeps blocking two new autostart programs every few minutes. They are located: User/AppData/Roaming/8428C5 and User/AppData/Local/Temp/EOBF. Virus scans come up clean and I'm unable to locate those files anywhere on the computer. I do see them in the WinPatrol log but it will not let me delete them from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Breanna
