Slow computer and internet, permission errors

Unread postby Couch Crumbs » June 22nd, 2012, 11:12 am

Hello,

Recently (last two days) my computer and internet have slowed down to a very noticeable degree. Also, while installing programs I've been repeatedly getting permission errors. Thirdly, I had an incident where windows said I was connected to the internet, but no programs could access it, forcing me to re-install the driver.

Hi Couch Crumbs,
You have too many Antivirus programs.
Also, never use any Registry Helpers/Boosters/Cleaners/Optimizers, etc. They can braek your machine.
The P2P program use of µTorrent is guaranteed to infect your machine.
------------------------------------------------
Remove Programs Using Control Panel
From Start, Control Panel, click on Programs and Features
Click each Entry, as follows, one by one, if it exists, choose Uninstall, and give permission to Continue:

µTorrent
iolo technologies' System Mechanic
Java(TM) 6 Update 31
ZoneAlarm Firewall
ZoneAlarm Free
ZoneAlarm Security

Take extra care in answering questions posed by any Uninstaller.
---------------------------------------------
Run CKScanner
Download CKScanner from HERE
Important - Save it to your desktop.
Right-Click CKScanner.exe, choose Run as administrator and click Search For Files.
After a couple minutes or less, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
A message box will verify the file saved. Please run the program just once.
Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop, give permission if asked, and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.
--------------------------------------------
TDSSKiller - Rootkit Removal Tool
Please download the TDSSKiller.exe by Kaspersky... save it to your Desktop. <-Important!!!
  1. Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe to run the tool for known TDSS variants.
(Vista - W7 users: Right-click and select "Run As Administrator")
If TDSSKiller does not run... rename it. Right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and give it a random name with the .com file extension (i.e. ektfhtw.com).
If you don't see file extensions, please see: How to change the file extension.
If you try to change the filename and extension, you may get a warning message from Windows because of the change of file extension. OK the change.
  2. Click the Start Scan button. Do not use the computer during the scan!
  3. If the scan completes with nothing found, click Close to exit.
  4. If malicious objects are found, they will show in the "Scan results - Select action for found objects" and offer 3 options.
    • Ensure Cure (default) is selected... then click Continue > Reboot now to finish the cleaning process.
    • If Cure is not offered as an option, choose Skip.
  5. A log file named TDSSKiller_version_dd.mm.yyyy_hh.mm.ss_log.txt will be created and saved to the main directory of C:
(the dd.mm.yyyy_hh.mm.ss numbers in the filename represent the time/date stamp)
  6. Copy and paste the contents of that file in your next reply.
If, for some reason, you can't locate the text file to paste into your reply, just tell me, but DO NOT run the program a second time.

So we are looking for the log fromCKScanner and the log from TDSSKiller.

Due to Lack of Response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
