My computer has been blackscreening for years, as in I will be in the middle of something, the screen will go black, and the computer will completely shut off. It actually did it twice since I ran the DDS script. It happens intermittently; sometimes I will go months without the problem, and then I won't be able to be on my computer for an hour or sync my phone or anything because it will do it every 15 minutes or something.
My firefox no longer works. Every time I visit a site or search through a site, it redirects me to some weird search engine.
My Adobe CS3 Suite randomly crashes.
Now, Safari is coming up with a "kcferrordomainwinsock:10054" error every time I try to check my email.

I understand if you can't fix all of these. I will just be happy if I can check my email again!

Hello helloemi,

Welcome to the forum!

My name is maxi and I'll be helping you with any malware problems.

Currently I am working under the guidance of the MRU teachers and everything I post to you, must first be approved by them.
This additional review process can add some extra time to my responses, but I will post back with instructions for you as soon as possible.

Before we begin, please read and follow these important guidelines, so things will proceed smoothly.
  1. The instructions being given are for YOUR computer and system only!
Using these instructions on a different computer can cause damage to that computer and possibly render it inoperable!
  2. You must have Administrator rights, permissions for this computer.
  3. DO NOT run any other fix or removal tools unless instructed to do so!
  4. DO NOT install any other software (or hardware) during the cleaning process. This adds more items to be researched.
  5. Only post your problem at (1) one help site. Applying fixes from multiple help sites can cause problems.
  6. Print each set of instructions if possible - your Internet connection will not be available during some fix processes.
  7. Only reply to this thread, do not start another one. Please, continue responding, until I give you the "All Clean!"
Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

I am currently reviewing your log and will return, as soon as possible, with additional instructions. In the meantime...
Please take time to read the Malware Removal Forum Guidelines and Rules where the conditions for receiving help at this forum are explained.

Please read all instructions carefully before executing and perform the steps, in the order given.
lf, you have any questions or problems, executing these instructions, <<STOP>> do not proceed, post back with the question or problem.

Regards maxi :)

Hi helloemi,

Step 1
  • Please download MGA Diagnostic Tool and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right click on MGADiag.exe and select Run As Administrator to run it.
  • Click Continue.
  • The program will run. It takes a while to finish the diagnosis, please be patient.
  • Once done, click on Copy.
  • Open Notepad and paste the contents in the window.
  • Save this file and copy/paste it in your next reply.

Step 2
Run CKScanner

  • Please download CKScanner from Here
  • Important: - Save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click CKScanner.exe > select " Run as administrator " then click Search For Files.
  • After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
  • A message box will verify the file saved. Please Run the program only once.
  • Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

In your next reply lease include:
The CKScanner logfile.
The MGADiag.exe logfile.
Any problems you had with my instructions.

Regards maxi :)

Hi helloemi,

Remove P2P Programs

  • I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

    BitTorrent

  • Please read the Guidelines for P2P Programs where we explain why it's not a good idea to have them.
  • Note: Even if you are using a "safe" P2P program, it is only the program that is safe. You will be sharing files from uncertified sources, and these are often infected. The bad guys use P2P filesharing as a major conduit to spread their wares.
  • Click on Start > All programs > Accessories > Run.
  • In the open text box copy/paste appwiz.cpl Then click Ok.
  • Uninstall the programs listed above (in red) and any other P2P you have installed NOW.
  • Take care when answering any questions posed by an uninstaller. Some questions may be worded to deceive you into keeping the program.

These programs also need to be removed from your computer:
Ask Toolbar
Java(TM) 6 Update 7
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6
Search Toolbar

Only when you have removed the P2P program should you move onto this step.

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
